Starbucks Style Iced Coffee

Description

A simple guide to making delicious Starbucks style iced coffee drinks at home with various flavor options.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups strong brewed coffee or 4 shots brewed espresso, chilled
  • 1 cup cold milk or milk alternative (almond, oat, soy, etc.)
  • Ice cubes
  • 24 tbsp simple syrup or flavored syrup (vanilla, caramel, hazelnut) to taste
  • Optional: whipped cream, cold foam, cocoa powder, cinnamon, caramel drizzle

Instructions

  1. Brew coffee stronger than usual. Let it cool to room temperature, then chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Fill a tall glass with ice.
  3. Pour 1 cup chilled coffee into the glass.
  4. Add 1/2 to 1 cup cold milk based on desired creaminess.
  5. Stir in 2-4 tbsp simple syrup or flavored syrup to taste.
  6. For a shaken iced coffee, combine coffee, milk, syrup, and ice in a jar, close lid, and shake for 10 seconds.
  7. Top with cold foam or whipped cream if desired.
  8. Add a drizzle or sprinkle of caramel, cocoa, or cinnamon for garnish.

Notes

Serve cold and fresh, adding more ice if it sits too long. Store leftover coffee in a sealed jar in the fridge for up to 3 days.
