Apple Crisp Bites

Ingredients

  • 2 cups diced apples
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine diced apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Toss until apples are well-coated.
  3. In another bowl, mix rolled oats, flour, melted butter, and salt together until the mixture becomes crumbly.
  4. Press half of the crumbly mixture into the bottom of a greased baking dish (approximately 8×8 inches).
  5. Layer the apple mixture evenly over the crust.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining crumble on top of the apples.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the top is golden brown and the apples are bubbly.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving so that the bites hold together nicely.

Notes

For added crunch, consider incorporating chopped nuts. For a gluten-free version, substitute the flour with almond or coconut flour.
