- 1 pound chicken tenders
- 8 slices bacon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, mix the brown sugar, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt.
- Wrap each chicken tender in a slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick if necessary.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Sear the bacon-wrapped tenders for 2–3 minutes on each side until the bacon is crispy.
- Sprinkle the brown sugar mixture over the tenders.
- Transfer to a baking dish and bake for 15 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and bacon is crispy.
- Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and serve.
Notes
For extra heat, add cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes. Ensure chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). Use a thermometer to avoid overcooking.
