Balsamic Pear Pizza


Description

A delightful pizza featuring caramelized pears, gooey mozzarella, and tangy balsamic glaze, perfect for cozy nights or festive gatherings.


Ingredients

  • Pizza dough
  • 2 pears, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup gorgonzola cheese, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup balsamic glaze
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh arugula for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C).
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  3. Transfer the dough to a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  4. Brush the dough with olive oil, then sprinkle salt and pepper over it.
  5. Spread the mozzarella cheese evenly over the dough.
  6. Arrange the sliced pears on top of the cheese.
  7. Sprinkle the gorgonzola cheese on top of the pears.
  8. Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  9. Drizzle balsamic glaze over the pizza once it’s out of the oven.
  10. Garnish with fresh arugula before slicing and serving.

Notes

Use ripe but firm pears for the best texture and experiment with different cheeses for unique flavors.
