Banana Bread Energy Balls are a no-bake, portable snack that combines the flavors of ripe bananas, oats, and chocolate for a wholesome treat.

- 2 ripe bananas
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup nut butter (e.g., almond or peanut butter)
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup chocolate chips (optional)
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts or seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Mash the ripe bananas in a large bowl until mostly smooth.
- Stir in the rolled oats, nut butter, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
- If desired, fold in chocolate chips and/or chopped nuts.
- Refrigerate the mixture for about 30 minutes to make it easier to shape.
- Once chilled, use your hands to form the mixture into small balls (about 1–1.5 tablespoons each).
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
Notes
For vegan option, use maple syrup instead of honey. For gluten-free, ensure the oats are certified gluten-free.
