- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice (fresh preferred)
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, lemon juice, minced garlic, oregano, black pepper, and salt until fully emulsified.
- Pat chicken breasts dry and marinate in a resealable bag with the marinade for at least 1 hour or overnight for best flavor.
- Preheat grill to medium-high and oil the grates.
- Remove chicken from marinade, discard leftover marinade, and grill chicken for 4–7 minutes per side until cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For a healthier version, use low-sodium soy sauce. Marinate for no more than 24 hours to avoid mushiness. Perfect for serving with salads or grain bowls.
