Hibiscus Tea Strawberry-Lemonade Refresher


Description

A refreshing hibiscus tea drink blended with strawberries and lemon, perfect for warm weather gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 hibiscus tea bags OR 2 tablespoons dried hibiscus flowers
  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 23 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • Optional toppings: Extra sliced strawberries, lemon slices, fresh mint leaves

Instructions

  1. Bring 2 cups of water to a gentle boil.
  2. Add the hibiscus tea bags and steep for 5–7 minutes.
  3. Remove the tea bags and allow to cool for 15–20 minutes.
  4. In a blender, puree the sliced strawberries with 1/4 cup of the cooled hibiscus tea.
  5. In a large pitcher, combine the remaining cooled hibiscus tea, strawberry puree, lemon juice, and maple syrup. Stir thoroughly.
  6. Taste and adjust sweetness or acidity if necessary.
  7. Serve over ice, garnished with lemon slices and mint, and add sparkling water if desired.

Notes

For a sweeter drink, adjust the amount of maple syrup. For a fizzy version, add sparkling water just before serving.
