Description
A vibrant bruschetta dip with sun-warmed tomatoes, fresh basil, and creamy herb cheese, perfect for gatherings or casual snacking.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (6.5 oz) package Alouette cheese with herbs (or another soft herb cheese spread such as Boursin)
- 1/2 cup tomatoes, finely chopped (about 1 medium tomato)
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinaigrette glaze or balsamic reduction
- Pita chips, crackers, or thinly sliced baguette for serving
Instructions
- Bring the cheese to room temperature (about 15–20 minutes out of the fridge) so it’s easy to spread.
- On a large serving plate or small platter, spread the soft cheese evenly in a circular mound in the center, leaving a 1/4-inch border around the edge.
- Evenly sprinkle the chopped tomatoes over the cheese, ensuring they cover the surface without sliding off.
- Scatter the chopped basil over the tomatoes, pressing lightly so they adhere.
- Drizzle the balsamic glaze in a light zigzag across the plate.
- Arrange pita chips, crackers, or toasted baguette slices around the platter and serve immediately.
Notes
For best texture, do not refrigerate the assembled platter for long before serving; the cheese is best at cool room temperature.
