Description
A fresh and creamy bruschetta dip that’s perfect for parties and casual gatherings, featuring ripe tomatoes, fresh basil, and herbed cheese.
Ingredients
Scale
- 6.5 oz herbed soft cheese spread (Alouette, Boursin, or similar)
- 1/2 cup tomatoes, finely chopped (about 90 g; cherry or roma work well)
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped (packed)
- 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze or reduction
- Pita chips, crackers, or thinly sliced baguette, for serving
Instructions
- Prepare your plate or platter by selecting a large shallow plate and leaving about a 1/4-inch border.
- Spread the herbed cheese evenly over the center of the plate to form a circular bed about 6–8 inches across.
- Evenly sprinkle and gently press the chopped tomatoes over the cheese, covering most of the cheese surface.
- Distribute the chopped basil over the tomatoes.
- Drizzle the balsamic glaze in thin ribbons over the entire plate.
- Optionally sprinkle with flaky sea salt and pepper, and place serving chips around the platter. Serve immediately.
Notes
For a vegan version, use plant-based cheese and maple-balsamic glaze. Make sure to drain juicy tomatoes before assembly.
