- 2 cups shredded cooked chicken
- 1/2 cup Buffalo sauce (adjust to taste for spiciness)
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix)
- 1 loaf of French or Italian bread
- 1/4 cup ranch dressing
- 2 tablespoons green onions, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- A sprinkle of blue cheese crumbles (optional)
- Diced celery (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix the shredded chicken with Buffalo sauce and ranch dressing until well combined.
- Slice the loaf of bread in half lengthwise and place it cut-side up on a baking sheet.
- Spread the chicken mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheese generously on top of the chicken mixture.
- Top with chopped green onions and season with salt and pepper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven, allow to cool slightly, then slice and serve.
Notes
For a crispy top, consider broiling the bread for the last 2-3 minutes of baking. Use rotisserie chicken for added flavor and convenience.
