Buffalo Chicken Bread


Description

A flavorful twist of Buffalo chicken wrapped in soft baked bread, perfect for gatherings and weeknight meals.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded cooked chicken
  • 1/2 cup Buffalo sauce (adjust to taste for spiciness)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix)
  • 1 loaf of French or Italian bread
  • 1/4 cup ranch dressing
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • A sprinkle of blue cheese crumbles (optional)
  • Diced celery (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the shredded chicken with Buffalo sauce and ranch dressing until well combined.
  3. Slice the loaf of bread in half lengthwise and place it cut-side up on a baking sheet.
  4. Spread the chicken mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded cheese generously on top of the chicken mixture.
  6. Top with chopped green onions and season with salt and pepper.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Remove from the oven, allow to cool slightly, then slice and serve.

Notes

For a crispy top, consider broiling the bread for the last 2-3 minutes of baking. Use rotisserie chicken for added flavor and convenience.
