Cajun Seafood Pasta

Description

Cajun Seafood Pasta is a comforting dish combining tender shrimp and scallops in a creamy sauce with colorful bell peppers, offering a taste of New Orleans in every bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz pasta (fettuccine or linguine)
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 lb scallops
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the chopped onion and bell pepper, sautéing until soft (about 5 minutes).
  4. Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  5. Add shrimp and scallops to the skillet, sprinkle with Cajun seasoning, and cook until opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
  6. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine and letting it simmer until the sauce thickens slightly.
  7. Add the cooked pasta to the seafood mixture in the skillet and toss to combine thoroughly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

Avoid overmixing to keep the pasta from becoming mushy. Use fresh seafood for the best flavor.
