Cajun Steak Tips with Cheesy Rigatoni

Description

A comforting dish featuring well-seared Cajun steak tips paired with rigatoni in a rich Parmesan cream sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners or gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb Cajun-seasoned steak tips
  • 8 oz rigatoni pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the rigatoni according to package instructions in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the Cajun-seasoned steak tips and cook until browned on the outside, about 3–5 minutes per side depending on size. Remove from skillet and set aside to rest.
  4. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add the heavy cream, stirring to combine and bringing it to a gentle simmer.
  5. Add the grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens slightly, about 2–4 minutes.
  6. Add the cooked rigatoni and the steak tips back to the skillet, stirring to combine well so the sauce coats both pasta and beef.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Consider using gluten-free pasta to accommodate dietary needs. The sauce can be lightened with half-and-half or a mix of milk and cream.
