Chinese Chicken Cabbage Stir-Fry


Description

A Flavorful comfort dish featuring tender chicken and crunchy cabbage, all wrapped in a savory sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, sliced
  • 4 cups cabbage, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and ginger, sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the sliced chicken to the pan. Cook for around 5-7 minutes until no longer pink.
  4. Toss in the chopped cabbage and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until wilted.
  5. Pour in soy sauce and oyster sauce. Stir well and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through.
  7. If using, drizzle with sesame oil and garnish with green onions before serving.

Notes

Best enjoyed immediately but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge.
