Chicken & Dressing Casserole


Description

A comforting casserole filled with tender chicken, hearty stuffing, and a creamy sauce, perfect for family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups cooked, shredded chicken
  • 1 package of stuffing mix (traditional or herb-flavored)
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (optional; carrots, peas, or corn)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked, shredded chicken, stuffing mix, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, sour cream, mixed vegetables (if using), onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Stir the mixture until well combined.
  4. Transfer the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, spreading evenly.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  6. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
  7. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving to allow the casserole to set.

Notes

For an extra crispy topping, broil for an additional 2-3 minutes at the end of baking. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the refrigerator or freeze for up to 3 months.
