- 4 cups cooked, shredded chicken
- 1 package of stuffing mix (traditional or herb-flavored)
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup mixed vegetables (optional; carrots, peas, or corn)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked, shredded chicken, stuffing mix, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, sour cream, mixed vegetables (if using), onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Stir the mixture until well combined.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, spreading evenly.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving to allow the casserole to set.
Notes
For an extra crispy topping, broil for an additional 2-3 minutes at the end of baking. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the refrigerator or freeze for up to 3 months.
