A savory and vibrant stir fry featuring juicy beef, caramelized onions, and a bold chili crisp sauce, perfect for a quick weeknight meal or casual dinner gathering.

- 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 large yellow onions, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp chili crisp oil
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 1/2 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 1 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp neutral oil
- 1 tsp sesame oil
Instructions
- Heat the neutral oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced flank steak or sirloin and cook until browned, about 2-3 minutes. Do not overcrowd the pan.
- Remove the beef from the pan and set it aside.
- In the same pan, add the sliced onions and cook until transparent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic and stir until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Return the beef to the pan and mix well.
- Pour in the soy sauce, dark soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, and chili crisp oil; stir to combine.
- Mix the cornstarch with water and add to the beef mixture to thicken the sauce.
- Drizzle sesame oil over the stir fry.
- Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until everything is well coated and heated through.
- Serve hot with rice or noodles.

Serve quickly for the best texture; the beef and onions are sweetest right out of the pan!
