Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.
- Beat in cocoa, flour, salt, and baking powder until the batter is smooth. Be careful not to overmix!
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until you can insert a toothpick and it comes out with a few moist crumbs. Do not overbake; the brownies continue to set while they cool.
- Let the brownies cool in the pan before cutting into squares.
