- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2–3 tablespoons milk (for the glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a doughnut pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, then stir in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until thoroughly mixed.
- Gently fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients just until combined; be careful not to overmix to maintain a light texture.
- Spoon or pipe the batter into the prepared doughnut pan, filling each cavity about three-quarters full.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a doughnut comes out clean.
- Allow the doughnuts to cool slightly in the pan before transferring them to a wire rack.
- To make the chocolate glaze, whisk together the powdered sugar, cocoa powder, and 2 tablespoons of milk in a bowl until smooth. Adjust the consistency by adding more milk if necessary.
- Dip the cooled doughnuts into the glaze, letting the excess drip off, and place them back on the wire rack.
- Let the glaze set for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve fresh with a cup of coffee. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
