- 1 cup (about 258 g) peanut butter (or your favorite nut/seed butter)
- 1/4 cup (about 85 g) honey or maple syrup
- 1/2 cup (about 40 g) rolled oats (optional)
- 1/4 cup (about 25 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup (about 43 g) chocolate chips (dairy-free if vegan)
Instructions
- Line a small baking dish or loaf pan (8×8 or similar) with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter and honey (or maple syrup) until smooth and fully blended.
- Add the cocoa powder and mix until uniform, scraping the bowl sides.
- If using, stir in the rolled oats until evenly incorporated.
- Fold in the chocolate chips, reserving a few for the top.
- Scoop or press the mixture into the lined dish, spreading it evenly and pressing down firmly.
- Chill in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes or until set.
- Remove from the pan, cut into bars, and serve.
Notes
Adjust sweetness by reducing honey/maple syrup. For clean edges, use a chilled spatula.
