Irresistibly comforting chocolate-peanut butter squares, combining nostalgic flavors in a clean, no-bake snack.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup natural peanut butter (about 256 g)
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup or agave (about 120 ml / 168 g)
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (about 50 g)
  • 1/2 cup gluten-free rolled oats (optional, about 40 g)
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil (melted, about 57 g)

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8-inch (20×20 cm) baking dish with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy lifting.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter, maple syrup, cocoa powder, and melted coconut oil. Stir until fully smooth and glossy.
  3. If using oats, fold them in until evenly distributed.
  4. Transfer the mixture into the lined baking dish and press it down evenly.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or until firm.
  6. Lift the slab from the dish using the parchment overhang and slice into 12 even squares.

Notes

For firmer treats, chill longer or freeze briefly. These bars can be customized with various nut butters or add-ins.
