Description
A festive and visually stunning charcuterie board shaped like a Christmas tree, featuring an array of colorful cheeses, fruits, and nuts that add warmth to holiday gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 10 fresh rosemary sprigs (adjust based on size)
- 1 celery stalk (for the trunk)
- Red, green, and black seedless grapes (clipped into small clusters)
- 4 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, cut into ¾-inch squares
- 4 ounces Monterey Jack cheese, cut into equal squares
- 4 ounces mild cheddar cheese, cut into equal squares
- ½ cup fresh cranberries
- 1–2 star fruits, sliced (for decoration)
- 1 cup assorted nuts (e.g., almonds, walnuts)
- 1 green kiwi fruit, sliced
Instructions
- Outline the Tree: Use rosemary sprigs to create a triangular shape for the tree, adjusting to make it visually appealing.
- Create the Trunk: Position the celery stalk vertically at the base of the tree.
- Assemble the Layers: Begin from the bottom and work upwards: Start with a row of cheese, add red grapes, another row of cheese, followed by green grapes, and finish the bottom layer with black grapes.
- Place kiwi slices in a triangular shape to form the top of the tree.
- Decorative Touches: Add star fruit slices at the top for a star. Scatter additional star fruit slices, cranberries, and nuts throughout the tree.
- Finishing Touches: If desired, place the nuts around the base to mimic a “pot,” covering the celery’s bottom for a festive finish.
- Chill: Prepare the board up to 4 hours in advance, covering it and refrigerating until ready to serve.
Notes
Serve alongside holiday wines or hot cups of mulled cider for a festive experience. Use fresh, high-quality ingredients for the best flavor.
