Ingredients

  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients.
  6. Stir in shredded coconut and chocolate chips.
  7. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until golden brown around the edges.
  9. Allow to cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
