Ingredients

  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until a soft dough forms.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Scoop tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space for spreading.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  8. Let cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Avoid overmixing the dough for optimal texture. Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking for a deeper flavor.
