Crab Rangoon Melt

Description

A delicious twist on a classic favorite, combining creamy crab rangoon flavors with toasted bread for a comforting dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup crab meat, shredded (fresh or canned)
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 slices of bread (your choice)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Butter for spreading
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded crab meat, chopped green onions, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until well combined, ensuring not to overmix to keep the crab texture.
  3. Spread the crab mixture evenly over the slices of bread.
  4. Top each slice generously with the shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Place the slices on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. For a golden, crispy top, broil for an additional 1-2 minutes while keeping a close eye on them to avoid burning.
  7. Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and serve warm.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze unbaked melts for up to 3 months.
