  • 1 lb chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato puree
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoons garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and sauté until golden brown, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the garlic and ginger, cooking for an additional minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the chicken thighs to the skillet and cook until browned on all sides, about 6-8 minutes.
  5. Pour in the tomato puree, heavy cream, garam masala, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.
  6. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer and cook for about 20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh cilantro.

Notes

For best results, use bone-in chicken thighs for more flavor, or marinate the chicken in yogurt and spices beforehand for added tenderness.
