Creamy Oven Baked Chicken Thighs

Description

Juicy chicken thighs simmering in a velvety cream sauce with garlic and Parmesan for a comforting dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper, then sear them in the skillet until golden brown, about 5 minutes per side.
  4. Remove the thighs from the skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, cooking until the sauce is smooth.
  7. Return the chicken thighs to the skillet, spooning the sauce over them.
  8. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Ensure chicken thighs are not overcrowded for better browning. Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness.
