Crockpot Hot Dog Chili

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Hot dogs, sliced (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add the cooked beef, kidney beans, diced tomatoes, chopped onion, bell pepper, chili powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper to a crockpot.
  3. Stir well to combine all ingredients.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 240-360 minutes or high for 120-180 minutes.
  5. About 30 minutes before serving, add the sliced hot dogs and stir.
  6. Serve hot with buns or over rice.

Notes

For a thicker chili, uncover the crockpot during the last 30 minutes of cooking to allow steam to escape.
