Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Hot dogs, sliced (optional)
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
- Add the cooked beef, kidney beans, diced tomatoes, chopped onion, bell pepper, chili powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper to a crockpot.
- Stir well to combine all ingredients.
- Cover and cook on low for 240-360 minutes or high for 120-180 minutes.
- About 30 minutes before serving, add the sliced hot dogs and stir.
- Serve hot with buns or over rice.
Notes
For a thicker chili, uncover the crockpot during the last 30 minutes of cooking to allow steam to escape.
