Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup canned pumpkin puree
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a donut pan.
- In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until evenly combined.
- In another bowl, mix together the pumpkin puree, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Avoid overmixing to keep the donuts tender.
- Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about halfway to allow room for rising.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the donuts to cool for a few minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack. Enjoy warm!
