Easy Beef and Broccoli


Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef (sirloin or flank steak), thinly sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice for serving

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce and cornstarch. Add the sliced beef and marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. In a skillet or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Add the marinated beef to the skillet and stir-fry until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add minced garlic and ginger, stirring for an additional minute until fragrant.
  5. Toss in broccoli florets with a splash of water, cover the pan, and steam for 2-3 minutes until tender yet vibrant.
  6. Season with salt and pepper. Serve the beef and broccoli stir-fry over hot cooked rice.

Notes

For a spicy variation, add red pepper flakes during cooking. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the refrigerator.
