- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Hamburger buns
Instructions
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until the meat is no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.
- Transfer the cooked meat mixture to a crock pot.
- Stir in the ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, and pepper.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours.
- Serve the sloppy joe mixture generously on hamburger buns.

Avoid overmixing when combining the sauce with the beef for a better texture.
