Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 cup grated cheese (Parmesan or cheddar recommended)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: 1/2–1 teaspoon dried herbs (oregano, basil, or a pinch of crushed red pepper)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine almond flour, grated cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until evenly mixed.
  3. Add the egg and any optional herbs. Mix with a spatula or your hands until a uniform dough forms. If the dough is too sticky, add a tablespoon of almond flour at a time until manageable.
  4. Shape the dough into small balls (about 1 tablespoon each) or flatten into small discs for faster, even baking. Place them about 1 inch apart on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until edges are golden brown and the tops are set. Rotate the pan halfway through if your oven has hot spots.
  6. Let cool on the sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

These bites are relatively low in carbohydrates and provide a moderate amount of protein and healthy fats from almond flour and egg.
