- 1 pound ribeye steak, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 hoagie rolls
- 8 slices provolone cheese
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add the sliced onion and bell pepper, and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Push the vegetables to the side of the skillet and add the sliced steak.
- Season with salt and pepper, and cook until the steak is just browned.
- Gently mix the sautéed vegetables with the steak.
- Place a slice of provolone cheese on top of the steak mix in the skillet and cover to melt.
- Split the hoagie rolls and fill each with the steak and cheese mixture.
- Serve hot and enjoy your delicious Philly cheesesteaks!
Notes
Don’t overcook the ribeye; it’s best when just browned to maintain tenderness. Experiment with toppings like jalapeños or fried onions for customization.
