Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 1 cup French onion soup
- 1 cup shredded cheese (Swiss or Gruyere)
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
- In a skillet, heat a tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the thinly sliced onions and sauté until caramelized, about 10-12 minutes. Set aside.

- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- On a large sheet of parchment paper, spread the beef mixture into a rectangle, about 1/2 inch thick.
- Layer the caramelized onions and shredded cheese evenly over the beef.
- Using the parchment paper, roll the beef mixture into a log shape, sealing in the filling.
- Transfer the roll to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
- During the last 10 minutes of baking, brush the top of the roll with additional French onion soup.
- Let cool slightly before slicing into pinwheels and serve warm.
Notes
Use sweet onions for a more delicate flavor or experiment with different cheeses for variety.
