Frozen Cake


Description

A whimsical chocolate cake adorned with snowy-white frosting and decorative accents, perfect for children’s parties and celebrations.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix (standard size, ~1516 oz)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tub white frosting (ready-to-use, about 16 oz tub recommended)
  • Blue food coloring (as needed)
  • Purple food coloring (as needed)
  • Frozen character decorations (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two round cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cake pans.
  4. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  5. Allow the cakes to cool completely.
  6. Frost the top of one cake layer with white frosting.
  7. Place the second cake layer on top, then frost the top and sides of the entire cake with white frosting.
  8. Add blue and purple food coloring to remaining frosting to create decorative accents.
  9. Decorate with Frozen character decorations.
  10. Chill in the freezer for about an hour before serving. Enjoy your Frozen cake!

Notes

For richer flavor, use milk instead of water. Can also be made dairy-free and gluten-free with specific substitutes.
