- 1 lemon, sliced (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, salt, pepper, parsley, and thyme. Stir until combined.
- Place chicken breasts in a single layer in a baking dish and pour the garlic butter mixture evenly over them.
- If using, arrange lemon slices atop each chicken breast.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
- Let the chicken rest for 3-5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For a lower fat option, substitute olive oil for butter. Use fresh herbs for a brighter flavor and adjust sodium intake as needed.
