Garlic Chicken Parmesan


Description

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for frying
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs.
  4. Dip each chicken breast into the egg, then coat it evenly with the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the chicken breasts until golden brown on both sides, approximately 4-5 minutes per side.
  6. Transfer the golden chicken to a baking dish.
  7. Pour marinara sauce over the chicken, then sprinkle mozzarella cheese generously on top.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbling.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired before serving.

Serve with a fresh salad or over pasta, and store leftovers in an airtight container.
