- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for frying
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs.
- Dip each chicken breast into the egg, then coat it evenly with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the chicken breasts until golden brown on both sides, approximately 4-5 minutes per side.
- Transfer the golden chicken to a baking dish.
- Pour marinara sauce over the chicken, then sprinkle mozzarella cheese generously on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbling.
- Garnish with fresh parsley if desired before serving.
