 - Whole wheat flour (optional)
 - Almond or soy milk (optional)
 - Cinnamon or nutmeg (optional)
 
Instructions
- Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
 - In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until fully combined.
 - In another bowl, beat the eggs, then add the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
 - Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Avoid overmixing for the fluffiest texture.
 - Lightly grease the waffle iron if necessary, then pour an appropriate amount of batter onto the center of the iron.
 - Close the lid and cook until the waffles are golden brown and crispy, usually about 5 minutes. Keep an eye on the color.
 - Carefully remove the waffles using a fork and serve with your favorite toppings.

For extra crispy waffles, preheat your waffle iron for an additional minute. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
