Gramigna Pasta with Sausage


Description

A comforting dish that combines gramigna pasta with savory pork sausage, sautéed vegetables, and fresh herbs for a hearty meal.


Ingredients

  • 400g gramigna pasta
  • 250g pork sausage
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 400g canned diced tomatoes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish
  • Parmesan cheese for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the gramigna pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until softened, roughly 3-4 minutes.
  3. Remove the sausage from its casing and add it to the skillet. Use a spoon to break it apart. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in the canned diced tomatoes, along with salt and pepper to taste. Allow to simmer for about 10 minutes.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the sausage and tomato mixture in the skillet. Toss gently to combine and heat through.
  6. Dish out the pasta hot, garnished with fresh basil and a generous sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese.

Notes

Best served hot with a side of crusty bread or a light salad.
