- 400g gramigna pasta
- 250g pork sausage
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 400g canned diced tomatoes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish
- Parmesan cheese for serving
Instructions
- In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the gramigna pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until softened, roughly 3-4 minutes.
- Remove the sausage from its casing and add it to the skillet. Use a spoon to break it apart. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the canned diced tomatoes, along with salt and pepper to taste. Allow to simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Add the cooked pasta to the sausage and tomato mixture in the skillet. Toss gently to combine and heat through.
- Dish out the pasta hot, garnished with fresh basil and a generous sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese.
