Ingredients

- 2 cups rolled oats
- ½ cup almond flour or whole wheat flour
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ cup honey or maple syrup
- ½ cup unsweetened applesauce
- ¼ cup chopped nuts or seeds (optional)
- ¼ cup dried fruit or chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine rolled oats, almond flour, cinnamon, salt, and baking powder.
- In another bowl, mix together honey and applesauce until well combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until combined.
- Optionally, add in chopped nuts or seeds and dried fruit or chocolate chips.
- Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool before cutting into bars. Enjoy!
Notes
For chewier bars, use old-fashioned oats instead of quick oats. Store bars in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature or refrigerate for up to a week.
