Description
Comforting foil packets filled with seasoned ground beef, buttery potatoes, and sweet-roasted carrots, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef (80/20 recommended)
- 4 medium potatoes, diced
- 4 medium carrots, sliced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Aluminum foil (four pieces, about 12 inches long each)
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, diced potatoes, sliced carrots, chopped onion, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until all ingredients are evenly coated.
- Cut four large pieces of aluminum foil, about 12 inches long. Divide the mixture evenly among the foil pieces.
- Fold the sides of the foil over the mixture and roll up the ends to create a sealed packet.
- Place the foil packets on the grill or in the oven. Cook for about 30–35 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender and the beef is cooked through.
- Carefully open the packets and serve hot; let stand for 2–3 minutes before opening.
Notes
Test potatoes for doneness with a fork before serving. For better texture and flavor, add butter to cooked packets if desired.
