Homemade Muesli Bars


Description

Nutritious and easy-to-make muesli bars, perfect for breakfast or a snack.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup mixed nuts (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup nut butter (peanut or almond)
  • 1 cup dried fruits (raisins, cranberries, etc.)
  • 1/2 cup seeds (pumpkin, sunflower, etc.)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the rolled oats, chopped nuts, dried fruits, and seeds.
  3. In a saucepan, combine the honey (or maple syrup) and nut butter over low heat until melted and combined.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and salt.
  5. Pour the mixture over the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
  6. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and press down firmly.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.

Notes

Avoid overmixing; monitor baking for a perfect golden hue.
