Homemade Peppermint Patties

Description

Delightful homemade peppermint patties with a refreshing minty flavor and a smooth chocolate coating.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1 cup dark chocolate, chopped or chips
  • 1 tablespoon water

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the powdered sugar, coconut oil, peppermint extract, and water. Mix until a smooth dough forms.
  2. Roll the mixture into small balls (about 1 inch) and then flatten them into patty shapes.
  3. Place the patties on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and freeze for about 30 minutes until firm.
  4. While the patties are freezing, melt the dark chocolate in a microwave or double boiler, stirring until smooth.
  5. Remove the frozen patties from the freezer and dip each one into the melted chocolate, ensuring it’s fully coated.
  6. Place the chocolate-covered patties back onto the baking sheet and refrigerate until the chocolate is set.
  7. Once the chocolate is firm, enjoy your homemade peppermint patties!

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. For longer storage, freeze for up to 3 months.
