Description
Soft, pillowy vegan dinner rolls that are perfect for any meal, offering a comforting texture and warm aroma.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water (about 105–115°F / 40–46°C)
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- In a small bowl, dissolve the sugar in warm water and add the yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour and salt. Whisk to distribute evenly.
- Add the yeast mixture, vegetable oil, and apple cider vinegar to the flour. Mix until a shaggy dough forms.
- Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5–10 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Punch down the dough gently, divide it into 12 equal pieces, and shape them into smooth balls.
- Place the rolls in the prepared baking dish, leaving space between them, and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown on top. Brush with melted vegan butter if desired, and enjoy warm.
