- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup hot fudge sauce
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
- Remove from heat and stir in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.
- Add the flour, cocoa powder, and salt, mixing just until incorporated. Avoid overmixing.
- Fold in the hot fudge sauce and chopped nuts, if using, creating a luscious batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean (a few moist crumbs are okay!).
- Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a dash of espresso powder. Can be served warm with hot fudge sauce and vanilla ice cream.
