  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup hot fudge sauce
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.
  4. Add the flour, cocoa powder, and salt, mixing just until incorporated. Avoid overmixing.
  5. Fold in the hot fudge sauce and chopped nuts, if using, creating a luscious batter.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean (a few moist crumbs are okay!).
  8. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a dash of espresso powder. Can be served warm with hot fudge sauce and vanilla ice cream.
