Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients and buttermilk to the butter mixture, alternating between the two.
- Fold in the hot fudge sauce and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Drizzle with additional hot fudge sauce and top with chocolate chips and nuts if desired.
