- 2 cups macaroni
- 2 cups shredded chicken (cooked)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup hot honey
- 2 cups milk
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for about 1 minute to form a roux.
- Gradually whisk in the milk until smooth and thickened. Remove from heat.
- Stir in the cheddar and mozzarella cheeses until melted.
- Mix the cooked macaroni and shredded chicken into the cheese sauce. Stir in the hot honey, then season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Pour the mixture into a baking dish, top with additional cheese if desired, and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes, or until bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
