Ingredients

  • 6 jalapeño peppers
  • 1 package of crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Olive oil (for brushing)
  • Optional: candy eyes for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Carefully cut the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, and onion powder; mix until blended.
  4. Scoop the cheese mixture into each jalapeño half.
  5. Roll out the crescent roll dough and cut into thin strips.
  6. Wrap dough strips around the stuffed jalapeños.
  7. Arrange on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and brush with olive oil.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  9. Attach candy eyes if desired before serving.

Notes

For a milder flavor, choose larger jalapeños. You can also freeze unbaked mummies for longer storage.
