Kool Aid Grapes

Description

Delicious, colorful frozen grapes coated with Kool-Aid powder for a nostalgic and refreshing treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 lbs green seedless grapes (washed and thoroughly dried)
  • 6 oz Kool-Aid mix (unsweetened powdered drink mix; choose flavors like grape, cherry, or tropical punch)

Instructions

  1. Rinse grapes well and pat dry with clean towels. Remove any bruised or soft grapes.
  2. Place grapes on a baking sheet in a single layer and freeze for 1 hour.
  3. After 1 hour, remove the tray and twist off the stems while grapes are still frozen.
  4. Put the grapes into a colander and rinse them briefly with cool water to remove any frost; shake off excess water. Dry gently.
  5. Divide the grapes into separate zip-top bags if using multiple Kool-Aid flavors.
  6. Add the Kool-Aid powder to each bag and seal it, then shake gently to coat the grapes evenly.
  7. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread coated grapes in a single layer.
  8. Freeze for 24 hours to set the coating and ensure grapes are fully frozen.
  9. Once frozen solid, serve immediately or transfer to airtight freezer containers for storage.
