  • 1/2 cup blueberry sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, lemon juice, and lemon zest until everything is well combined.
  5. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just incorporated—avoid overmixing to keep the cookies tender.
  6. Drop tablespoon-sized spoonfuls of cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet, making a small indentation in the center of each cookie.
  7. Fill each indentation with a small amount of blueberry sauce.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are set.
  9. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Dust with powdered sugar before serving, if desired.
