- 1 package frozen cheese ravioli (24 oz)
- 1 jar marinara sauce (24 oz)
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a 9×13 inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom.
- Arrange half of the frozen ravioli over the sauce.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Spoon dollops of the ricotta mixture over the ravioli.
- Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese and half of the Parmesan cheese over the ricotta.
- Pour another layer of marinara sauce over the cheese, then repeat the layers with the remaining ravioli, ricotta mixture, marinara sauce, and cheeses.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Allow to cool slightly, garnish with fresh basil if desired, and serve.
Notes
For best results, ensure all ingredients are at room temperature before assembling the casserole. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
