- 1 package of frozen cheese ravioli
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Layer half of the frozen ravioli in the bottom of a greased casserole dish.
- Spread half of the marinara sauce over the ravioli, then dollop half of the ricotta cheese and sprinkle with a cup of mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining ravioli, marinara sauce, ricotta, and mozzarella.
- Top with grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let cool for a few minutes before garnishing with fresh basil. Serve warm.
Notes
Ensure your casserole dish is adequately greased to prevent sticking. Don’t overmix the ricotta; dolloping it allows for creamy pockets throughout the casserole.
