Million Dollar Ravioli Casserole


Description

A hearty and comforting casserole featuring layers of cheese ravioli, marinara sauce, and gooey melted cheese, perfect for family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 package of frozen cheese ravioli
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Layer half of the frozen ravioli in the bottom of a greased casserole dish.
  4. Spread half of the marinara sauce over the ravioli, then dollop half of the ricotta cheese and sprinkle with a cup of mozzarella cheese.
  5. Repeat the layers with the remaining ravioli, marinara sauce, ricotta, and mozzarella.
  6. Top with grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning.
  7. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Let cool for a few minutes before garnishing with fresh basil. Serve warm.

Notes

Ensure your casserole dish is adequately greased to prevent sticking. Don’t overmix the ricotta; dolloping it allows for creamy pockets throughout the casserole.
